The Ad Hoc Team convened a team meeting on September 7, 2023.
- Stephen Smith presented at a Borough of Manhattan Community College Advisory Board meeting on June 22, 2023, to 16 members about the BSRT initiative. The members of the BMCC Advisory Board were supportive, especially with the new language of the bill.
- Steve also spoke with a number of programs that have BSRT online and they all support the initiative and feel the time frame is very sufficient.
- Katherine Herhily, NYSSRC (Legal Advisor) met with CUNY government relations and are waiting on their position. We anticipate that the legislator would like to hear support from programs.
- Kate plans to meet in late October with Chairs from Higher Education Committees, Assemblywoman Patricia Fahy, and Senator Toby Ann Stavinsky.
- Next steps will be putting together Memos in Support Package.
- The team will meet again in late October.
