Please consider supporting SUNY Sullivan’s Respiratory Care Program Director Tom McManus and Respiratory Therapist Nancy McManus at this upcoming event in Newburg, NY.
To My Respiratory Colleagues:
A recent occurrence of events put me in a unique situation. Â I am not one to boast or tout my accomplishments, but it is at this time that I find it necessary to share with you a special recognition that my wife Nancy and I Â have received.
First I need to share a little bit of history. Â Not something that I easily do. Â Our son Scott was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes (T1D) at the age of ten. Â Eight years later, in July 2000, this disease contributed to his premature death.
Since that time, Nancy and I have become extremely active with the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) organization supporting its mission with fundraising activities. We are continual members of the Gala, Walk, and Ride events each year as well as serving in leadership rolls over the years.
I tell you this for the following reason. Â This year Nancy and I have been selected to be the Community Honorees at the Hudson Valley JDRF Hope Gala on June 2, 2017 at the Powelton Club in Newburgh, NY. Â I would like to invite all interested individuals to attend this event, to enjoy an elegant evening and help raise funds to support our mission of funding research to cure, treat and prevent T1D. Â If you are interested in joining us, please go to the web site noted below to get more information and register for the event.

Thank you.
Sincerely,
Tom McManus
